Air Jamaica and waiting

Good day all,

We are at the Kingston Airport waiting the flight. ADG Ken got us here just after 6:30 AM this morning. After a time at the counter we were informed that the flight to Montego bay and on to Nassau was cancelled and they would be looking at creating another flight sometime later. With their assistance we got to the VIP Lounge and here we wait.

We were told a while ago that there was going to be a direct flight Kingston to Nassau departing at 1:00 PM. We are now waiting on that. We will keep you posted.

A special note to the Rotarians of Jamaica. You are truly doing Rotaries work on the ground and involved hand to hand with the most needy in the community. You can be very proud of this as it is the true essence of Service Above Self.

I am also very impressed that in most instances the Clubs are working on projects funded by Government Social Service Organization and NGO's. In many cases they provide the funding only if Rotary is the oversight group on the spending. Clearly the Public Image is very Strong on Ethics and Integrity. Be very proud of that.

Thank you for the great Interclub Assembly of the 22 clubs in Jamaica. In most instances the leadership of every club was there. Lead by example at its best.

Please support the RLI in November in Montego Bay. This is our time to shine and we must have the representation to show our commitment to the program. Please be sure all clubs are represented.

Thanks again for the great time and the effort everyone put in to making us so welcome and comfortable.

DG Dick
